Tutor / Companion Wanted for Afternoon Employment

A lady is sought for the afternoon care, companionship, and creative engagement of an elderly lady with dementia (mid-stage) in the area of Nea Ionia.

Patient Profile
Our mother is fully mobile, cooperative, and pleasant. She has difficulty communicating (finding words), but has full awareness. The goal of the afternoon engagement is to enhance her cognitive abilities and provide enjoyable companionship.

Main Responsibilities
Cognitive Stimulation & Companionship: Intellectual engagement aimed at maintaining her skills (e.g., assistance in solving simple crosswords, encouragement to read short texts).

Mobility: Daily afternoon walk (half to one hour).

Personal Care: Discreet support in her personal hygiene and care.

Dinner Preparation: Heating up food.

Schedule & Compensation
Daily (Monday to Friday): 18:00 – 20:00 (2 hours/day).

Compensation: €7 per hour.

Sunday: Once a month, schedule 09:00 – 15:00.

Compensation: €50 for Sunday.

Required Qualifications
Ethics, patience, generosity, and kindness.

Ability to communicate calmly and encourage our mother without pressuring her.

Consistency and responsibility.

Experience or knowledge regarding the management of dementia will be particularly valued.
