I lived in the Netherlands for 3 years and interacted with people from various cultural backgrounds. That helped me expand my ideologies and learn to be more empathetic. Afterwards, the volunteering social work project in Italy last year, opened new doors for me because it was the first time I did this type of work with children/teens. I went for a few hours every day at the family house with my colleague. Around 8-10 teenagers lived there with their social workers. I saw how their schedule is every day and by observing the social workers I learned some of the basics in interacting with vulnerable youth and/or disabilities in youngsters. Those experiences made my English level almost fluent and I guarantee I can help your children build a concrete foundation in the English language. Some parents require that I interact only in English, however, I think it’s best to figure out the method of leaning after we get to know each other.
