I have been educating students in Mathematics and Physics for more than 35 years, having taught in two countries, Greece and Denmark (where I have lived for 17 years), in three languages, Greek, English and Danish, and on several different educational levels and settings, including: the International Baccalaureate (IB) program the British IGCSE and A-levels program private Secondary Schools in Athens public Secondary Schools in Denmark the University of Aarhus, Denmark private tutoring for pupils at Secondary Schools, Colleges and Universities in Denmark and in Greece. My educational praxis is based on the following guidelines: - to inspire and motivate the students by my personal example and ethos, - to encourage and train the students in thinking, wondering, experimenting, exploring, discovering and creating, rather than memorizing and reproducing, - to ensure the necessary for the educational process discipline, not by means of disciplinary sanctions, but by stimulating the interest for the lesson and by establishing a mutual respect, - to maintain a good balance between the theoretical and the practical aspects of the subject, - to acknowledge and accommodate the different academic levels and learning styles of the students, - to deliver a lesson that is animated and connected to everyday life.
